Calvary Kids Ministries covers all children from infants to 6th grade. 6th grade students have the option of graduating to Youth and/or staying in the Children’s ministries. We recognize that this is a transitional year and it varies from student to student and family to family. Our nursery is divided into two rooms where newborns and babies are facilitated on one side and the children who can walk and need more interaction with activities are taken care of on the other side. Our toddlers enjoy a room geared just for them with lots of toys and activities and a teacher who shares Bible stories and other activities to help them begin to gain an understanding of God’s Word. Our elementary kids enjoy a “service” of their own complete with a song service, prayer time, and message with videos, and puppets. Other age appropriate learning aids are also used to help them put to use the things of God in their young lives.
The elementary kids enjoy parties throughout the year as well as events like Fall Festival, Easter Fun, and Water Fest, not to mention Kids Camps in the summer. We focus on BGMC (Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge) on the 1st Sunday of the month and we have an annual goal of $1400 to raise for BGMC which provides curriculum and other material for boys and girls all over the world.
We have never given into the notion that the children are the church of tomorrow because they are a huge part of the church today! If allowed, their youthful energy and innocence can propel adults into a new vigor that allows them to serve the Lord with a youthful exuberance.
