Catalyst Men's Ministry
The Men's Ministry at Calvary is known as "Catalyst". A catalyst is an agent that causes a change and we desire to cause a positive change in the lives of men through the men's ministry of Calvary Christian Center.
We realize that men not only play a vital role in the church, they also have huge responsibilities to their families and their communities. In an effort to allow men the opportunity to realize and fullfill these responsibilities, Catalyst provides many opportunities for men to come together so we can face these challenges together. By building relationships with other men and by willing to mentor other men and be willing to be mentored ourselves, we are on the way to fullfilling the honorable role of being men in the 21st century.
Catalyst host a Men's Breakfast on the second Saturday of each month which is designed to emphasize fellowship and the building of relationships with other men. It is very low key and though we do enjoy a devotion and prayer, the main emphasis is building relationships. We also encourage men to bring their sons so they can begin to learn the responsibilities they will have as men. We meet at the church in the Sanctuary Cafe at 8am.
We also meet every Monday morning from 6am-7am for "The Gate". This is a time for men to come together for an unscripted time together and with the Lord. What better way to start your week than by setting aside time to spend with the Lord? Join us at the church this week and bring a friend.
Our "Men's Huddle" meets every Sunday morning at 9:00am durning our Connection Class Hour. We cover many topics throughout the year and always enjoy great discussion and insight.
Several of our men are also part of the "Champions Network" through Honorbound where they meet monthly to discuss the Book they are studying in order to become stronger husbands, fathers and leaders in their walk with Christ.
Catalyst also realizes the importance of the family so we sponsor events for the entire family throughout the year as well. This year we will sponsor an evening at Victory Field on May 11th, 2013, A canoe trip down in Brookville, IN on August 3rd, 2013 and a trip to the Creation Museum on October 5th, 2013. We are excited about what God is doing in hte lives of our Men and their families at Calvary Christian Center!
